Xavier Bourat, Regional Director, Hauts-de-France

After graduating from the ESSEC Global BBA program, Xavier Bourat joined the Company in 1997 and held several positions in France, mainly in business and communication. In 2008, he took over the reins of the affiliate aimed at the world of transport in the United Kingdom and in Ireland, then in Austria and Slovenia in 2012. In 2017, he was tasked with creating the affiliate that deploys natural gas mobility solutions in France. In 2020, he joined the Mobility and New Energies Division in charge of institutional relations in France. Xavier Bourat was appointed Regional Director in June 2022, representing the Company among its stakeholders in the Hauts-de-France.

Catherine Ferrant, Chairwoman of nonprofit organization Savoir-être à l’École

 

Catherine Ferrant graduated from the Catholic University of Louvain with a degree in economics and communications. She was a journalist at the Belgian daily Le Soir from 1974 to 1989. That year, she joined Belgian oil and gas company PetroFina, where she headed communications, managed the corporate philanthropy fund and sat on the management committee. When TotalEnergies and PetroFina merged in 1999, Catherine oversaw the Diversity & Accountability Department, where she structured various aspects of TotalEnergies’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. From 2008 to 2017, she was Managing Director of the corporate foundation, and Vice President, Corporate Philanthropy, for the company. She is currently active in France and Belgium in a number of nonprofits focused on underserved schools and giving young people access to the arts, including Flagey, a cultural center in Brussels, Sport dans la Ville, Les Concerts de Poche, Fondation ManpowerGroup, Fondation Égalité des Chances, Savoir-être à l’École, Helen Keller International Europe, Fondation Louvain and l’École de la philanthropie. She is also a Knight of the French Legion of Honor.

Claire Gibault, Artistic and Musical Director of the Paris Mozart Orchestra, Co-founder and Co-Director of La Maestra

Claire Gibault started her career at the Opéra National de Lyon before moving on to become the first woman to direct the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra and the Berliner Philharmoniker. The Musical Director of the lyrical workshop and children’s choir at the Opéra de Lyon then at the Musica per Roma foundation, she later became Claudio Abbado's assistant at the Scala, the Vienna State Opera, and the London Royal Opera House, before taking part in creating the Orchestra Mozart di Bologna with him in 2004. In 2011, Claire Gibault founded the Paris Mozart Orchestra, with which she recently performed at the Festival Berlioz, the Cultural Center of Bourges, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Bozar in Brussels, and at the Folle Journée in Nantes. She is also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of La Maestra, an international competition and academy for women conductors. The first two editions took place in 2020 and 2022 at the Philharmonie de Paris. In 2023, Claire Gibault featured among the 40 Forbes France women of the year and won the Prize of the First Category of the Chaumet Echo Culture Awards rewarding committed projects spearheaded by women. She is also Officer of the Legion of Honor and Commander of the order of Arts and Literature.

Hâkim Hallouch, CEO of Paideia Education

A graduate of France’s Institut d'Études Politiques (Sciences Po) in Paris, Hâkim Hallouch has master’s degrees in both public affairs and sociology. He also studied at Galatasaray University, Istanbul, at the Department of International Relations. From 2006 to 2018, he headed the Equal Opportunity Department at Sciences Po. He created gateway programs there for social inclusion, such as the Underserved Schools Agreements in 2006, the Experimental High School in 2009, E-Methods in 2013 and First Campus in 2016. As department head, he established partnerships with 130 high schools in 19 school districts. In addition, Hâkim worked for better youth orientation and training as municipal council member for youth affairs in the Paris suburb of Saint-Ouen. The “Explora Jeunes” (Youth Explorer) program introduced more than 4,500 young people to nearly 120 enterprises in the city. Summer schools to improve English language skills and scholarships to promote access to higher education were introduced. 

Karine Kaczka, Manager of the Inclusion and Education priority action sector of TotalEnergies Foundation

 

Karine Kaczka is a graduate of the EDHEC Business School in Lille, northern France. In 1994, she joined the Refining & Marketing branch at TotalEnergies where she took on different jobs in France and Belgium in the marketing, strategy, and profit center management centers. In 2011, she became Vice President, Institutional Investor Relations in the Financial Division, where she was tasked with communicating and promoting Company strategy on the financial markets. In 2015, she joined the Human Resources Division in the Refining & Chemicals branch, as Vice President, Diversity. In 2018, as part of the People and Social Engagement Division, she participated in the creation and deployment of the “Better Together” work packages, carrying the Company’s people-focused ambitions. In 2022, she was appointed Manager of the Inclusion and Education priority action sector of TotalEnergies Foundation.

Olivier Rabier, TotalEnergies Foundation Programs director

 

Olivier Rabier is a general engineer and has a joint Masters in Polymers and Plastics Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure des Moteurs et du Pétrole (Higher National Graduate School of Oil and Engines) in Rueil-Malmaison, France and McGill University in Montreal. He began his career in 1998 at ExxonMobil Chemicals on the Notre-Dame de Gravenchon petrochemicals site. In 2001, he joined the Trading & Shipping branch at TotalEnergies, then moved to the Exploration & Production branch in 2003, where he held different functions in the industrial projects and development studies sector, in South Korea, Nigeria, the Republic of the Congo, Denmark and France. In 2019, he was appointed Global Category Manager - Facilities and Engineering in the Projects and Equipment division at Total Global Procurement. In 2021, he joined the new OneTech branch to manage and define the technical review methods for all the Company’s projects and industrial sites. In January 2023, he was appointed Programs Director in the Public Interest Division.

Olivier Riboud, Managing Director of L’Industreet

Olivier Riboud

 

Olivier Riboud is an engineering graduate from Ecole des Mines d’Alès and holds a Master’s in regional management from ESSEC business school. He began his career in operations manager roles in the extractive industry in France and Spain. He then worked in the chemicals industry before moving to the world of training in 2006, when he became Head of Performance and Coordination for the Campus Veolia network.

Passionate about learning and teaching, Olivier Riboud joined TotalEnergies in 2018 to take part in the L’Industreet project, an initiative to launch a campus for new industry professions led by TotalEnergies Foundation. He is currently Managing Director of L’Industreet.

Jacques-Emmanuel Saulnier, Senior Vice President Citizenship Engagement

Jacques-Emmanuel Saulnier is Senior Vice President Citizenship Engagement and General Delegate of TotalEnergies Corporate Foundation since January 01, 2022. A graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Grenoble, Jacques Saulnier was Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Grenoble in 1992, Chief of Staff to the French Minister of Communications, also the Mayor of Grenoble, responsible for coordinating staff in 1993, and Deputy Chief of Staff to the French Minister of the Economy and Finance in 1996. In 1998, Jacques-Emmanuel Saulnier joined Alcatel as Vice President of Institutional Relations. From September 2001 to June 2011, he was Senior Vice President of Communications and spokesperson for Areva, which he joined in 1999 as Executive Assistant to the CEO of Cogema. From October 2011 and February 2022, Jacques-Emmanuel was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and spokesperson for Total, now TotalEnergies. From March 2015 to July 2021, Jacques-Emmanuel Saulnier was Chairman of Entreprises & Médias, the French association for Communication Directors. He is a knight of the French National Order of Merit.

Christina Verspieren, Director Recruitment & Work-Study Programs, TotalEnergies

Christina Verspieren graduated as an engineer from CentraleSupélec then went on to do a Master’s in electronic and IT engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She started her career at TotalEnergies in 2002 in the Refining & Marketing branch as Advisor in the Depot technical department of the France Logistics division. After holding several positions in France Logistics, she took over the Optimization department of the French service station network, then left on expat to Singapore in 2018 as Operational Deputy VP South Pacific and Indian Ocean, again in the Marketing & Services branch. From 2020 to 2023, she was Managing Director of the affiliate TotalEnergies Marketing Polynesia. Since September 2023, Christina Verspieren has been the Company’s Director of Recruitment in France at TotalEnergies Global Human Resources Services.
